The couple had a Jewish ceremony at 3pm on Sunday 18th June. They had invited their Rabbi up from Brighton and Jen walked down the long aisle in The Atrium to ‘Feels Like Home’ by Chantal Kreiazuk. As it was Father’s Day Jen felt extra special to be able to able to walk down the aisle on the arm of her lovely father.
During the ceremony the couple had 7 blessings and chose 7 people who were important to them both to come and read their blessing in either English or Hebrew. Each reader then poured wine in to a little cup which the couple then drank from.
After a memorable drinks reception and some private, romantic photographs together with their photographer Justin De Souza, the couple and their guests were invited back down in to The Atrium to enjoy a very special and super delicious banquet. Jen had created their table plan by covering a gold frame with moss and gluing succulent plants to each corner. The names of the wedding reception tables reflected the couple’s love of dogs.
Each table was named after a dog breed and on tables, each guests’ name was laser cut and painted gold to add a touch of glam to the reception tables. Low urn-style pedestal bowls were filled with stunning flowers for the centrepieces and old turquoise glass medicine bottles were bought from the Ardingly antiques market to place on windowsills around the room to add extra colour to day. Jen and Howard consider themselves to be a foodie couple and therefore wanted to create their own menu combining Mediterranean and Turkish cuisines. Harper’s expert team of chefs worked closely with the couple to ensure that their wedding banquet menu expectations were met.
The newlyweds cut through a super-stylish three-tier wedding cake designed in a peach pink watercolour buttercream, covered with edible flowers, meringue kisses and a hint of chocolate on the middle tier. It was designed by Georgia’s Cakes and was the perfect focal point in The Atrium throughout the wedding breakfast. Dancing to a live band in the evening was a highlight for the newlywed couple and their guests. The Fountain Wing was where the couple’s first dance took place and sparkly dance floor was full for most of the night.
