Great food is at the heart of every wedding celebration. Lionel, our Executive Chef, brings his experience from The Dorchester and creates wedding menus worth celebrating using brilliant British ingredients.

You can mix and match courses, add extras like sorbet or cheese, and we’ll work to cater for any dietary requirements. Some dishes carry a supplement – you’ll find all the details in your online planner along with evening reception buffet options.
The first glass sets the tone. Bottomless Pimm’s and prosecco come as standard, or you can upgrade to champagne – served alongside canapés like sun-dried tomato and Manchego arancini, beef croquettes with chimichurri ketchup, or smoked trout blini.
Add a cordial station for guests to mix their own drinks, set up a beer station to enjoy on Botleys’ lawn, in Cain Manor’s courtyard, or on Notley’s lavender-lined patio. Or go all out with King’s Caviar – whatever you choose, we keep glasses filled and conversations flowing while you’re off having photographs taken.
This is the moment everyone sits together for delicious food and wine – your first meal as a married couple. Start with three courses and add extras if you like: a palate-cleansing sorbet, a pasta course, or cheeses to finish.
Every starter is built around flavour and seasonality. Severn & Wye’s hand-crafted smoked salmon – sustainably sourced and beautifully delicate – is served with avocado mousse, seaweed mayo, ponzu dressing, rice crisp, and fried capers.
For summer weddings, the courgette and mozzarella tarte fine with slow-cooked tomato compote offers light, bright, and garden-fresh flavours.
Winter weddings are perfect for our wild mushroom and spinach pithivier with black garlic and crème fraîche sauce – rich and deeply satisfying.
Our mains are designed to delight all the senses. Our slow-cooked, coffee-rubbed Hampshire beef – served with butternut squash purée, creamed potato, crispy onions, and a deep, glossy jus – is a firm favourite, using quality local beef from Ownton’s butchers.
Our Moroccan-style braised lamb tagine brings warm spice and tender meat alongside spiced sweet potato and seasonal vegetables. And our butternut, spinach, and ricotta wellington, with its buttery pastry and fragrant sage jus, is a comforting, balanced, and carefully composed vegetarian dish.
Our dessert selection brings a mix of indulgence, texture, and a touch of playfulness. A much-loved choice is our warm chocolate brownie, served with dark chocolate crémeux, roasted white chocolate crumb, and vanilla ice cream — a textural delight where rich warmth meets cold, creamy sweetness.
For spring and summer weddings, the vibrant summer berry mess offers a refreshing finish, combining whipped cream, crushed meringue, and a bright passion fruit sauce.
Those seeking something nostalgic yet refined will love the warm banana cake, paired with banana-split ice cream, salted caramel, and crisp rice nougatine.
When the evening guests arrive, drinks towers and chocolate fountains make a proper entrance. Then the late-night food takes over – buttermilk chicken tenders with hot honey dip, smoked streaky bacon in a brioche roll, American hot dogs with sauce and crispy onions. If pizza is more your crowd’s thing, there are six flavours to choose from, including spinata calabrese, four cheese, and mushroom with truffle cream.
Your wedding cake can be served here too – on its own or as part of the spread. The idea is simple: keep the energy up and the dance floor full.
Our wedding venue bars are stocked with everything you’d expect and a few things you wouldn’t. From classic cocktails and mocktails to local craft beers.
Wake up married and relive every moment over breakfast. A light continental breakfast is included as standard – pastries, fruit, yoghurt and coffee to ease everyone into the day. Upgrade to a full continental spread or go all out with a full English breakfast (or both!).
If you’d like to keep the celebration going, there’s the option to extend your stay with a relaxed brunch or celebratory lunch to catch up with everyone. The perfect end to your perfect day.
The Harper Tasting Experience isn’t just about the food. It’s the reason you’re here, of course, but it’s also a wonderful way to picture your wedding day. Consider it a candlelit date night with our compliments!
You’ll arrive to amuse-bouche, drinks on the house, and the hum of excited conversation. You’ll see tables dressed to impress, with the scent of fresh flowers in the air and glasses glinting beneath a canopy of lights. You’ll take your seats at a table for two (naturally), and sample, course by course, a tasting menu designed to make choosing yours deliciously easy. A piece of cake, as it were. Our in-house sommelier can recommend the perfect match for each course, and later, you might just find our cocktail tower a novel way to round off the evening.
The food tasting was really the first taste of what our wedding would be like and to say we were wowed would be an understatement. The food was so tasty and we could not get enough of it.
A massive thank you for the superb afternoon we had sampling so much delicious food and drink. We were completely blown away - not just by the food, which was outstanding, but by the attention to detail and level of service we received, on top of a very warm welcome.
The food was absolutely delicious and after enjoying the Tasting Experience immensely, we went into the wedding confident knowing that the breakfast would be enjoyed by everyone (and it was!). Everyone's food arrived promptly and the tables were laid out beautifully.
