Tell us a little about yourself?

I started my professional makeup artistry, Khushi’s beauty, in 2017.I have come from an I.T background in Cisco Networking. Yes, two totally different spectrums, but I am glad I took the plunge and pursued the career that I am passionate about which has always been working in the wedding and fashion industry. I am highly professional yet have this soft and friendly personality that makes me loved by my brides. I love to be a part of their special day and moments, making each client feel fabulous in their own skin. My clients would usually describe me as a calm, skilled and helpful person who does not mind going the extra mile to make a difference to make their experience pleasant and memorable.

Recently I have purchased beauty & aesthetic clinic at West Wickham high street, offering my clients the additional treatment as a bridal package.

 I love travelling around the world covering road shows, fashion campaigns, and destination weddings.

Why should a bride use a makeup-artist?

Because it’s totally worth it!

The wedding is one of the most important, and also can be one of the most stressful day for a bride. Having a professional makeup artist to do the job is one thing less to worry about. Every bride wants to look beautiful on their big day, many makeup artist have trained for years and have extensive experience in bridal makeup application. Professional makeup artists will guarantee ,the bride will look beautiful throughout the day under any light, whether its outdoor sunshine, evening candle flash or black and white photography.

We don’t only provide the hair and makeup on the day but also play a role of a friend that wants the bride to look and feel your absolute best on your big day, not as a part of our job but knowing the day is very special for you. Having a makeup artist on the day is the ultimate luxury but also a necessity.

Do you offer a trial and how long does this usually take?

Yes I offer make up only trial and its last for about 1.5 hour and bride will need to travel to my clinic.

What brands do you use?

It took me years of experience to find the right products that work the best on a particular skin ,lasts longer considering the weather situations and looks great live as well as in Photographs

I only use high end brands i.e
Hourglass
Charlotte tilbury
Estee Lauder
Nars
Dior
And many others depend on the look and skin type.

What is the best reaction you have had from a bride and her bridal party after doing their wedding day make-over?

Every bride is different and it’s always so overwhelming to see the reaction coming from the brides, bridesmaids and their family. Lately I had a bride who had a lot of insecurities and skin concerns, and was very nervous about her final look, lost her mum few months ago and did not have a lot of family members around to advise or support. She could not stop the tears running down her face, all this time I was doing her makeup, we had to take breaks to calm her down and do the touchups throughout. It was heartwarming to see her smiling when she saw her final look and could not stop thanking me for making her look her best on her special day. It’s the best feeling in the world when as a makeup artist you get such feedback.

How far in advance should a bride book you?

It depends on availability, I must advise it’s better to book one year in advance, however I do accept the last minute bookings if I have the slots available during that day.

What are you favourite trends?

As a makeup artist, you got to keep up with the new trends, new techniques and enhance knowledge about the products. I am a very creative person and love to play with colours and experiment with different looks. I love a full glam but Soft glam has to be my all-time favorite. I love to enhance a person’s natural features through makeup, giving them a clean, glowy soft look.

If you were getting married, what look would you go for and why?

I would love brown smokey eyes, a light base with a soft contour and dewy skin with nude lips.

If you could do the make-up of any celebrity, who would it be for and why?

If I get the opportunity to do the make-up of any celebrity, I would love to meet and give a makeover to Mrs. Aiswarya Rai (previous miss world). I grew up watching her movies and have always been inspired by her beauty and talent. She is a perfect example of beauty with brains.
