If you were getting married, how would you cater for children on your big day?
Firstly, I would look to the venue and ask whether they have a designated room available for the children to use and explore. In the designated room, I would set up the room according to the children’s ages and their interests. As we can accommodate for children aged newborn – 10 years old, the large variety of toys and equipment are sure to keep all children entertained!
I would look to set-up a smaller babies area nearby the cosy, indoor tepee tent filled with soft cushions, floor mats, bean bags and baby gyms. This area would also look to have traditional stories, soft dolls and teddies. We have a number of sensory toys and resources for children of this age.
The remainder of the room would have large, cushioned floor mats. This allows children to be comfy and be able to engage in their play, whether it be puzzles, board games, a wooden dolls house, giant jenga, a ball pit and tunnel, giant dominoes or explore the non-messy arts and crafts table. The non-messy arts and crafts table would consist of stickers, paper plate crafts, design your own squishies, wreath making, dreamcatcher making, bracelet making, flying and designing your paper airplane and more!
In the evening, around 7.00pm – 8.00pm I would look to turn the creche into a chill out movie area. The older children would have their own popcorn buckets, whilst the younger children would tend to fall asleep on their own pull-out beds, whilst watching a recent movie on the projector screen.
Additional activities can be offered.
