A romantic winter celebration at Notley Abbey, Buckinghamshire
Fi & Dan’s winter wedding at Notley Abbey began with a calm, joy‑filled morning getting ready in the cosy bedrooms with their closest friends and family. Their celebrant‑led ceremony in the Abbot’s Hall was intimate and heartfelt, styled with classic whites and soft greenery for a timeless feel, and ending in a perfect flurry of confetti that set the tone for the celebrations ahead. During the drinks reception, guests mingled, sipped bottomless prosecco, and experienced Live Event Painter Sophie England bring portraits from the day to life.
Throughout the day, snow frosted Christmas trees and twinkling fairy lights transformed the spaces, moving from the ceremony held in the Abbot’s Hall to the wedding breakfast in the Monk’s Refectory. The long banquet tables, dressed in candlelight and tabletop winter trees naturally complemented the long historic space beautifully.
As evening fell, the celebration shifted into full party mode. Under fairy lights and crystal chandeliers, the iconic London Function Band took to a white piano in the Monks’ Refectory, filling the room with unforgettable energy and making the night one to remember.
