Megan & Callum’s Spring Wedding at Notley Abbey, Buckinghamshire

Soft spring light shone for Megan and Callum’s romantic and characterful wedding at Notley Abbey, a historic exclusive use wedding venue in the Buckinghamshire countryside. With a palette of warm burnt-orange tones, and subtle nods to love of the wizarding world, their wedding day felt reflected them as a couple both.

The ceremony

Megan chose to get ready at home, surrounded by her bridesmaids and home comforts, while Callum enjoyed a moment of stillness with a pint at his local pub.

Megan and Callum were married at St Lawrence Church in Abbots Langley, where 125 of their closest family and friends gathered to witness their vows. The ceremony was personalised with thoughtful readings from loved ones and an emotional surprise performance from one of Megan’s bridesmaids.

Following the ceremony, guests stepped outside to an alternative confetti moment. With a playful twist on tradition, paper planes filled the air — an inside meaningful detail unique to the couple.

As guests arrived at the country house wedding venue, they were welcomed into its expansive grounds. Being exclusive use, Notley Abbey offered a private setting for the celebration to continue, allowing guests to enjoy every historic nook and cranny of the house.

Megan and Callum’s styling struck a perfect balance between elegance and personality. A thought-out colour palette of soft neutrals and deeper burnt-orange accents affirmed that orange isn’t just for autumn!

Subtle Harry Potter-inspired details were intertwined throughout the décor, adding a sense of personality and playfulness. Tables were named after locations from the Wizarding World, while guests were treated to potion-style favours at their place settings.

Entertainment played a key role throughout the afternoon, with MC and Magician Dean Jorgensen keeping guests engaged and entertained. His performances added an element of surprise and echoed the couple’s Harry Potter theme.

Wedding Breakfast & Evening Celebration

As guests were welcomed into the wedding breakfast space, the atmosphere shifted to something softer and more intimate. The bold oranges of the floral centre pieces were softened by uplighters, creating a romantic vibe.

As evening fell music from band Replay brought the dancefloor to life beneath a canopy of fairy lights. Outside, The Pizza Postprovided food that kept guests fuelled and added, fun-loving spirit of Megan & Callum’s wedding.
