The Proposal

Tom and India met when they were both in 6th form and made their exciting relationship official at the house party of a friend. Over 7 years, the couple became close and decided to take their relationship to the next level by purchasing a house together. Much to India’s surprise, on the day the couple got the keys to their new house, another exciting event was just about to happen. Whilst walking to their new front door, Tom ran ahead a little and bent down on one knee, before proposing to the love of his life. India was so surprised with Tom’s romantic proposal that it actually took her about 20 minutes to finally say YES; it turned out to be the most magical day ever.
Tom had chosen the most perfect engagement ring for his bride-to-be, India, and after a year and a half of planning, the couple tied the knot at Harper’s Cain Manor, located on the border of Surrey and Hampshire.

Choosing Cain Manor

India and Tom viewed 8 wedding venues on their hunt for perfection. When they had their viewing at Cain Manor they fell in love with the homely feel and the simplicity of the barn venue. They loved the beams and the fact that they could make Cain Manor their home for the day.
The couple, and India’s father, loved using the online planner to add extra items to their wedding day. They were able to see instant adjustments made to their budget and they loved the fact that they could contact their wedding planning manager to ask silly questions whenever they felt the need.

The Dress

India had visions of what her dream wedding dress looked like before she headed to a handful of bridalwear shops; nothing fussy – lots of lace! The gown India had chosen was a strapless gown, but as she’d always wanted to wear a dress with lace sleeves, she had these added, in the same lace that covered the gown – it was perfect! Instead of teaming her gorgeous lace wedding dress up with a pair of traditional wedding heels, India chose to wear a comfortable pair of Converse wedding shoes throughout the day and night.

The Big Day

The couple booked a Friday, civil ceremony wedding at Cain Manor and invited 74 day-time guests to celebrate with them. Their wedding day was decorated with an ivory, grey and green colour scheme. Giant garden games had been laid out to entertain guests and the newlywed couple headed off with their photographer, David Nash, to have some beautiful wedding photography taken around Cain Manor’s incredible grounds.

The day was decorated with beautiful floral designs created by Sonning Flowers. Two pedestals stood tall at the front of The Music room, for the ceremony; fairy lights and foliage down the beams added that extra touch of rustic glam. For the reception tables, white hydrangea stood in vases of different heights and the tables were named after different trees.

India and Tom also placed signs on each table, asking guest to use the hashtag #tomandindia if there were posting images of their wedding celebration on to social media.

Before the end of the night, India tossed her bouquet to her single friends – but her uncle caught it and therefore a re-throw had to take place; it was all very funny
