The Proposal

Natasha and Samuel’s story began when they met at work. After 5 and a half years together, Samuel decide that it was now time to pop the big question. Together, the couple planned a last-minute trip away to Barcelona and on their first night, they went for dinner at beautiful beach front restaurant. Following their romantic meal, they went for a stroll along the beach and to Natasha’s complete surprise, Samuel got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife.

Choosing Cain Manor

Natasha and Samuel viewed a total of 5 wedding venues before deciding that they wanted their big day to happen at Cain Manor. From the moment they entered the driveway, they described the woodland scenery as “breathtaking”.

As soon as they were welcomed into the oak-beamed Library inside Cain Manor, Natasha and Samuel loved how homely the country house wedding venue felt. They especially liked The Music Room and loved the grand, cathedral length window at the end of the aisle, which overlooked the gorgeous, perfectly manicured gardens at Cain Manor.

During their visit, Natasha and Samuel were introduced to Harper’s bespoke online planning system. We asked the couple if they found this to be a useful tool during their 14 months of wedding planning. They mentioned that they don’t know what they would have done without it!

The Dress

Natasha tried on about 40 different wedding dresses before deciding on a relaxed fishtail style dress with delicately embellished cap sleeves, designed by Essence of Australia.

From the moment Natasha arrived at ‘The Secret Dress House’ in Reigate, she knew that this was going to be the shop where she would find her wedding dress. The helpful and friendly sales assistants made her feel very comfortable with a ‘Welcome Natasha’ sign on the front door and the shop furniture which created a lovely homely feel. Whilst looking through the dresses, Natasha and her niece spotted this beautiful gown and when looking closer, noticed that this dress was called ‘Isabella’, which is the name of her nan and also her niece’s middle name. This must have been a sign because Natasha instantly knew that this dress must be the one!

Once the drinks reception had come to an end, everyone was invited back into the Music Room again for a wedding breakfast hand-picked by the couple in the months leading up to their big day. Natasha and Samuel decided to decorate their reception tables with a floral centrepiece, on a mirrored plate surrounded by tea lights and scattered crystals. Their table names were after iconic movie couples and they chose to have a photo of the famous couple placed on each table.

Top Tip

Natasha and Samuel’s wedding planning advice: “As much as you stress about all of the little details it really doesn’t matter on the day. It will be the best day of your life with all of your favourite people around you.”
