Choosing Botleys Mansion

Victoria and Sam discovered Botleys Mansion while searching online for venues that were easily accessible from London and Essex, where most of their guests would be traveling from. They knew they wanted a luxury venue that would be exclusively theirs for the wedding day, with accommodation for the wedding party.

They visited the venue in early 2023 during one of Botleys Mansion’s open days. From the moment they drove up the driveway, they were captivated by the building’s style and its beautiful grounds. They also appreciated the venue’s rich history, having been built in the 18th century. The staff were friendly and professional, and the interior was just as stunning as the exterior. After their visit, they were certain that Botleys Mansion was their top choice and quickly secured their date.

The Inspiration

Victoria and Sam found many of their wedding suppliers through Botleys Mansion’s recommended list, including their florist and DJ, which made the planning process a lot easier. They also discovered a few additional suppliers through online searches and social media, which gave them the flexibility to explore different options.
For their big day, Victoria and Sam chose a classic black-tie wedding, paired with a sophisticated sage green, cream, and gold colour theme. Their ceremony took place at a beautiful church in Weybridge, followed by a reception at Botleys Mansion, where guests were treated to stunning decor and thoughtful details. The couple handmade their favours—packets of loveheart sweets—which added a personal touch to the day. Gorgeous floral arrangements were incorporated throughout the venue, with a particularly memorable display of flowers lining the bottom of the stairs into the atrium.

The planning

When it came to shopping for their attire, Victoria found her dream wedding dress in the summer of 2023, on her third shopping trip with her family. When she slipped it on, she instantly knew it was the one! For Sam, his suit was custom-made at the renowned Cad and Dandy on Saville Row, while the groomsmen chose their own black-tie suits to match the couple’s elegant theme.

Memorable moments

One of the highlights of their planning process was the Harper Weddings Tasting Experience, where they enjoyed an unforgettable food tasting that left them excited for their big day. For Victoria and Sam, their most memorable moment on the big day was entering the Atrium for their wedding breakfast – “We could see all our guests and everyone was celebrating our new status as husband and wife!”
