Ceremonies & receptions

Allow us to set the scene. You might say “I do” in The Music Room, seating up to 123 guests (170 for your reception), or if the weather’s warm, the gazebo on the meadow might be the spot. As the seasons change, Cain Manor charms in different ways: warmed by open fires in winter; heady with the scent of flowers from the courtyard garden in summer.

The music room

A triple-height, barn-style licensed ceremony room, The Music Room at Cain Manor is a magical, wedding-ready space. Cathedral-like windows cast sunlight across its warm oak floor, beneath a panoply of rustic beams. A spacious Minstrels’ Gallery is the ideal spot for a harpist, pianist, or string quartet to accompany your vows – usually exchanged in front of the windows. From here, the view stretches across the meadows towards Surrey’s Golden Valley. Large double doors open onto the courtyard garden for drinks and canapés before your wedding breakfast.

Come and see us

We’re looking forward to showing you around. Let us know when you’re coming, and we’ll have a glass of something sparkling ready for you…

Yes, please!

The wedding breakfast

Whether you’re marrying in a local church or holding a civil ceremony, Cain Manor’s Music Room is the perfect setting for your three-course wedding banquet and, of course, the (highly anticipated) speeches. Tables are set and prepared in the adjacent servery to enable a rapid turnaround between the ceremony and your wedding banquet.

The reception

After the wedding breakfast, tea, coffee, and truffles are served in The Library while The Music Room is swiftly transformed to host the evening’s entertainment. A versatile ‘second room’ for your celebrations, The Library is a cosy, oak-beamed lounge with a welcoming fireplace, its own bar, and doors onto the courtyard garden. It’s the ideal place for a little extra entertainment for your guests – think photo booths, caricaturists, or just long-overdue family catch-ups.
