Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, Martin developed a love for the bagpipes from a young age. To this day he travels across the UK and World entertaining VIP’s at Weddings, playing for the mainstream media and promoting the Art of Scottish Bagpiping. He is passionate about delivering a first class experience.
How would you describe your style and what makes you unique?
Piper McKay is a standalone authentic bag piping service that truly wows special occasions. I’m very proud to deliver a first class experience.
Can couples come and see you perform live before booking you?
Unfortunatly not. A private conference call can be specially arranged to discuss your wedding plans in full detail.
Do you take requests?
I can design a bespoke experience to match your requirements for your wedding day.
Do you have a dress code?
I wear full bespoke traditional piping attire. My garnments are all hand made by my personal tailor in Scotland. My pipes are adorned in my personalised silver. Together they are absolutely stunning and amazingly complementary to all VIP wedding days.
How long is your set?
This is wide ranging. This varies greatly. There is no specific time. Less is more. There’s a secret to getting this perfect. Your wedding piping is dovetailed in to your specific plan for your day to deliver the perfect atmosphere.
If you were getting married, what would be your idea of ultimate entertainment?
Scottish bagpiping. It makes the day and I’m not just saying it. I’ve seen too many incredibly emotional reactions.
